Despite recent rain, lawn watering restrictions continue for people living in San Diego and other cities in the county. Predictions of a drier winter mean conservation measures will continue to be enforced.
The City of San Diego's mandatory water use restrictions continue through May 31st.
Lawn watering is allowed for only seven minutes and only before 10 in the morning and after 4 in the afternoon.
Watering days for homes with odd-numbered addresses are: Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
For even-numbered addresses: Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays.
Apartments, Condos and Businesses can water: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Dana Friehauf with the San Diego County Water Authority said a mild summer and conservation efforts have helped build up reservoir supplies.
"Storage levels are higher as we go into the coming year," said Friehauf. "There are uncertainties though associated with precipitation because of the La Niña event that has been forecast. And so it's still important for folks to conserve."
La Niña typically means a drier winter for Southern California and more rain and snow in the Pacific Northwest.
