Mama's Kitchen, the organization that has for years taken food to HIV/AIDS and cancer patients, will deliver its 6 millionth meal tomorrow.
The 20-year-old nonprofit delivers up to three meals per day, seven days a week to its clients for free.
In 2011, Mama's Kitchen served an average of 953 meals per day to 572 clients for an annual total of nearly 348,000 servings, according to statistics provided by the group. Nearly 800 volunteers helped take the food around to clients.
Mama's Kitchen recently relocated its headquarters from just north of downtown to Home Avenue, a little north of state Route 94.
