Actress Mia Farrow was first made aware of the crisis in Sudan's Darfur region in 2004, after reading a newspaper op-ed piece. Since that time, she has become a major activist for change there.
The United States announced Tuesday that it is tightening economic sanctions against Sudan, but Farrow calls the measure "too little, too late." She says that sanctions will not bring an end to genocide in Darfur, and advocates a full-time envoy dedicated to securing a just peace agreement.
