Military Enlists 'Therapy Dog' to Ease Combat Stress

A 15,000-strong U.S. military base in Tikrit, Iraq, has brought in some novel help to fight PTSD in its solders. Boe is a 3-year-old female lab — a therapy dog, whose job is to let people pet her. T

he combat stress therapists say she's been an enormous help.

The program began in late December, but some soldiers are skeptical, saying that it's the military's way of dealing with a serious issue on the cheap.
