Gov. Brown Signs Bill To Help Foster Parents Adopt
Gov. Brown Signs Bill To Help Foster Parents Adopt
GUEST:Margo Fudge, Adoptions Manager, San Diego County Dept. of Child Welfare Services
Jim Patterson, Assemblyman, 23rd District in Fresno County
Each year close to 400 children in San Diego County are adopted, but thousands remain in foster care. A new bill signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown will help remove some of the barriers and cut through some of the red tape in California's adoption process.
Those two efforts, the recently signed Assembly Bill 848 and the county initiative, are hoped to make adoptions less frustrating and more frequent.
