An unbearable tragedy, the hope of reconciliation and forbidden love — all under an icy, Alaskan sky.
That's the story that unfolds in the world premiere production of "The Hour of Great Mercy." The play opens Thursday at Diversionary Theatre and runs through March 3.
The play is about a gay Jesuit priest who leaves the seminary to reconcile with his brother who lives in Alaska.
Playwright Miranda Rose Hall joins Midday Edition Thursday to discuss the influences behind the work.
