For Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer, getting a job in the defense industry should have been a no-brainer. After all, the military credits the Marine with saving the lives of 36 men.
Instead, Meyer contends, a British defense contractor ruined his name with false allegations, making employment in his chosen filed all but impossible. The Wall Street Journal reports Meyer filed a lawsuit Monday against the contractor, BAE Systems.
As Home Post has previously reported, Meyer is only the third living recipient of the Medal of Honor to fight in the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. He is the first living Marine to receive the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War.
