Air Travel Restrictions on Liquids Set to Ease

The U.S. government announces a partial lifting of the air-travel ban for liquids and gels in carry-on luggage. A government spokesman said that most liquids and gels purchased in the secure areas of airports will be allowed aboard commercial flights. The new security standards go into effect on Tuesday.
