A Senate committee has voted for more subpoenas in the scandal surrounding eight U.S. attorneys fired in 2006.
The subpoena votes, almost a weekly ritual since the story broke, are part of a buildup to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' testimony before Congress next week.
The Senate Judiciary Committee authorized the subpoenas for Justice Department documents, including the complete versions of papers that were sent earlier with portions blacked out.
