Army IDs Body as Soldier from California

Army officials confirmed the identity late Wednesday of a U.S. soldier whose body was found in the Euphrates River south of Baghdad. Pfc. Joe Anzack Jr. of Torrance, Calif., was on his first tour of duty in Iraq.

About two weeks ago, he was captured by insurgents, along with two other soldiers. Anzack, 20, was a 2005 graduate of South High School in Torrance.

Josh Waybright, an English teacher and coach at South High, shares his memories of Anzack with Alex Cohen.
