You see, whether Christine Smith or Ron Paul made it to the White House, it would still be good because a Libertarian would hold the office of president.
But now, some in the Libertarian party are suggesting Ron Paul should RETURN to the Libertarian party in his run for office, thus setting up for another 2000 election & - this time our party catching the blame for 'splitting the vote,' and allowing a candidate to win unopposed.
This, my friends, is both wise and unwise. Personally, I think the smartest thing would be for Christine Smith and Ron Paul to unite under ONE ticket as president and vice president. & It's already a sure thing that the Democrats are so split; they will do almost the exact same thing. & So let the GOP have McCain. & His popularity isn't even worth bothering over. & Then bring Ron Paul back to the Libertarians, pair him with Christine Smith, and have the campaign run on ISSUES, not the gender of any candidate.
I know, I know. & Ron Paul fans are some of the most rabid out there.
His campaign is viral marketing at its finest. & But, if he were to pair
with the top favorite in the party AND all 50 states ALLOWED people to vote
Paul-Smith in '08, then I think we might have a chance to finally get a
Libertarian in the Oval Office.
And that, dear readers, is when I think America's problems can finally be fixed.
