Memorial Day Closures In San Diego

Most government offices will be closed around San Diego County today for the Memorial Day holiday.

Administrative offices, libraries and recreation centers will be closed in most areas.

Exceptions in the City of San Diego include the Miramar Landfill, which will be open with regular hours from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The recycling container sales office will be closed, however.

Also in San Diego, municipal pools and golf courses, Chollas Lake and the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitors Center will be open.

Parking meters will not be enforced in San Diego.

In unincorporated county areas, parks, campgrounds and neighborhood day-use parks will be open during normal business hours.

However, community centers in Fallbrook, Lakeside and Spring Valley will be closed, as will the Spring Valley Gym. The Lakeside and Spring Valley teen centers will also be shut down.

The 4S Ranch Sports Park office will be closed for regular business, but adult hockey activities and all fields will remain open for use.

Buses, trolleys and trains operated by the Metropolitan Transit System and North County Transit District will operate on Sunday schedules today.

Trash pickup will be delayed one day.
