HeatleyBros crystalized the nostalgic retro game sound and his music has been heard in millions of videos totaling many billions of views. His catalog has been used in countless games, with three times charting #1 on the IOS App Store and Apple Arcade, most notably in his ongoing work for the handheld phenomenon “Retro Bowl.” HeatleyBros’ desire to continuously push the boundaries of possibility has led him to his first major collaboration with longtime friend Mikey Kettinger of Mikey’s Imaginary Friends of San Diego. Mikey’s Imaginary Friends an alternative/indie project that began in Florida in 2006. It has been featured around the USA on radio, television, films and performances that combine experiential art with music performance. Their new album ‘What This Art Is About’ is a bold take on Indie Pop and Alternative, built from exceptional songwriting of Mikey paired with the world-building imagination of HeatleyBros. Their complementary combination of skills unite in a truly original sonic experience, challenging the listener to follow their heart, make art, and build community. Early versions of their collaborative songs and its first music video for ‘Little Less Hard’ have already been heard and viewed tens of thousands of times. “Mikey has always walked his talk.
