Formed in San Francisco in 1993 by vocalist Stephan Jenkins and guitarist Kevin Cadogan, Third Eye Blind quickly established themselves in the alternative rock scene. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1997, achieved six-times platinum status, propelled by hits like "Semi-Charmed Life," "Jumper," and "How's It Going to Be." The band's follow-up album, "Blue" (1999), attained double-platinum certification, further solidifying their success. Over the years, Third Eye Blind has released a total of seven studio albums, including "Out of the Vein" (2003), "Ursa Major" (2009), "Dopamine" (2015), "Screamer" (2019), and "Our Bande Apart" (2021). Despite changes in the music industry, the band has maintained a dedicated and growing fanbase. Their 2021 album, Our Bande Apart, recorded post-lockdown, features collaborations with artists like Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast and Ryan Olson of Poliça. In 2022, Third Eye Blind supported environmental initiatives by partnering with SeaTrees to help restore the Palos Verdes Kelp Forest, highlighting their commitment to environmental causes.
