About The Kundert Trio: Lynne Ramsey was First Assistant Principal Viola of the Cleveland Orchestra for 35 years and was the holder of the Charles and Janet Kimball Chair, the first woman to hold that position. Prior to this appointment she was Principal Viola of the St. Paul chamber Orchestra and Principal viola of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. She was also the 2014 recipient of the Maurice W. Riley Award from the American Viola Society. During her tenure with the SPCO she performed concerti and chamber music with Pinchas Zuckerman in Carnegie hall, the Ravinia Festival as well as on tour in the United States. In 1986 she was the first foreigner to perform the Walton Viola Concerto with the Beijing Central Philharmonic in their new concert hall. She is in demand as a teacher, having taught at the Oberlin conservatory, Duquesne University and presently at the Cleveland Institute of Music. During the summers she teachers and performs regularly in summer festivals including "Domaine Forget" in Canada, The Chautauqua Institute, Encore for Strings, The Interlochen Intensive Viola Week and the Karen Tuttle Workshop. She formerly taught at the Aspen Music Festival, performed as Principal Viola in the Aspen Festival Orchestra and also performed frequently on their chamber music series. She has won prizes in international competitions including the Lionel Tertis Competition on the Isle of Man, the Bryan Young Artist Competition as well as winning the Juilliard Concerto Competition. Ms. Ramsey is a graduate of the Juilliard School with a BM and MM in Viola performance. Ms. Ramsey studied with Karen Tuttle and Ramon Scavelli. Kirsten Docter is associate professor of viola and chamber music at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. First prize wins at the Primrose International and American String Teachers Association Viola Competitions launched her on a career that includes a 23-year tenure with the Cavani Quartet, concerts on major series and festivals, and numerous appointments as a master class clinician and teacher. Festival appearances include performances at the Aspen Music Festival, Banff Centre for the Arts, Yale Summer School of Music and Art at Norfolk, and the Seattle Chamber Music Society. She has collaborated with Itzhak Perlman, Jaime Laredo, Alisa Weilerstein, Stephanie Blythe, Nathan Gunn, Alessio Bax, and members of the Cleveland, Juilliard, Takács, Emerson, Borodin, and Amadeus string quartets. Her work can be heard on the Azica, Albany, New World, and Gasparo labels. Docter formerly served on the chamber music and viola faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music and the University of Michigan. She has been a jury member of the Primrose International Viola, Fischoff National Chamber Music, and Sphinx competitions. In the summer she serves on the viola faculty of the Perlman Music Program. A true renaissance spirit, Ellen Craig has built a varied career spanning music, travel, technology, and hospitality. She began as a classical violist, graduating from Oberlin College and Conservatory and earning her master’s degree from Rice University. Her performance career included years with the Toledo Symphony, where she brought depth and elegance to the orchestral stage. With a natural gift for planning and an eye for detail, she transitioned into luxury travel design, crafting bespoke journeys across the world. Her path then led into technology project management, where she coordinated complex digital initiatives. Today, she is the owner of a boutique hotel in Italy, reflecting her family's 1000-year-old history in the region. There, she offers five-star hospitality in a setting rich with culture and legacy. Learn the Art of Intarsia Woodworking! Saturday, May 10 or August 16, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Join us in the woodshop for this 5-hour intarsia woodworking workshop! Intarsia is a woodworking technique that involves the use of varied shapes of wood to create an image or pattern. In this class, we will cover shop safety and how to use a scroll saw, as well as best practices for sanding and finishing. Students will choose from a template to transfer to their wood, creating a mosaic-like decorative wall piece. Template options will be provided, and may be altered and edited based on skill level. At the end of the workshop, each student will leave with their own intarsia project. Materials are provided. We recommend students bring their own eye protection, ear protection & apron, but we have some for borrow if needed. Aprons for sale here. No experience necessary. Ages 18+ welcome. "The 27 Club" presented by the Six String Society brings to life the legendary music & stories of Rock & Roll’s most infamous club. A club in which all the members share at least one thing in common; they all died tragically at the age of 27. People have wondered if they were ever all together and with the power of the audience’s imagination this occurs one evening in a mythical Greenwich Village apartment (circa 1969) the night before Woodstock. The candles burn late into the evening as these iconic figures begin to descend into the ‘Living Room.’ As the evening progresses, each icon performs their timeless songs with our signature group jam for the ages. Our All Star cast includes Whitney Shay (as Amy Winehouse), Lauren Leigh Martin (as Janis Joplin), Trevor James (as Jimi Hendrix), Tony Suraci (as Jim Morrison), Austin David (as Kurt Cobain), & Robin Henkel (as the spirit of Robert Johnson.) Fedella Lizeth is known for her emotionally raw, personal, and texturally rich work. Her upcoming exhibition is a visual meditation on healing, identity, and transformation—created through experimentation with softness, sculptural forms, and nontraditional materials. Her work speaks in layers: some fragile, some bold, all deeply human. This event also marks the public launch of Subcultura Curation, a community-powered arts initiative founded by curator Bucky Montero. Built from years of organizing in alternative art spaces across Barrio Logan, Subcultura exists to uplift bold, underrepresented voices through exhibitions, residencies, archives, and storytelling. A celebrated singer-songwriter with 14 albums to his name, Tim Flannery blends bluegrass, country, and rock into heartfelt narratives about love, travel, and life on the road. A three-time World Series champion coach with the San Francisco Giants, he and his wife also founded the Love Harder Project, a nonprofit with an anti-bullying focus. Jeff Berkley is a San Diego-based songwriter, musician, and producer known for his soulful style and collaborations with major artists like Jackson Browne and Ben Harper. A multi–San Diego Music Award winner and Hall of Fame inductee, he continues to create and produce across genres. Singer-songwriter-guitarist Ashley Norton is the leader of the all-female Americana band Lady Psychiatrist’s Booth and creator of the popular all-female songwriter showcase Songbirds. Her performances feature original compositions and unique renditions of beloved classics. Tim Flannery It’s easy to think of Tim Flannery as a baseball man turned musician turned philanthropist. But in all honesty, all of these aspects of his life overlap, making it hard to discern where one ends and another begins. Regardless which role he’s in, Tim “Flan” Flannery is a storyteller and one of the last of the old dogs. Flan has released 14 albums. His 2019 release, The Light , presents 11 tracks of original music drenched in real life experiences that have led Flan through darkness, pain, and disappointment to find peace and hope in today’s sometimes confusing human climate. "The Last of the Old Dogs", released in 2017, gave life to new stories about the characters he’s met over the years on the road, while also delivering important messages about love, work, being an outlaw, and knowing when to fight for what you believe in. With a voice as smooth as Kentucky bourbon and a heart worn on both sleeves, Flan’s performances ebb and flow with brilliant melodies and soaring harmonies.
