Lawmakers are still huddling behind closed doors, crafting plans and in discussions on the thorny issues of health care and water storage. Those are the focus of special sessions called by the Governor. Jenny O'Mara reports from Sacramento.

It's likely we'll see some lawmakers' proposals to deal with water unveiled in the coming days in the form of bills. Many legislators have been reviewing Governor Schwarzenegger's proposal for a water bond that he recently unveiled. It calls for new dams.

Senate President Pro-Tem Don Perata has also unveiled his plan-a bond measure that would provide grant funding for local governments to deal with water issues.

Schwarzenegger is hoping to have a measure on water placed on the February ballot, but the clock is ticking. They're facing a formal deadline of September 27th.
