SD Rescue Mission To Feed Homeless For Thanksgiving

The San Diego Rescue Mission will serve Thanksgiving dinner to to more than 1,500 homeless people in San Diego.

This is the 53rd year the SDRM will serve its annual Thanksgiving meal. Approximately 250 volunteers are expected to serve the hot turkey meals during the family-style gathering from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Music will also accompany the dinner.

In addition to the holiday meal, the SDRM will also provide personal hygiene items and clothing essentials such as socks, T-shirts, soap and other toiletries.

Last year, the SDRM served approximately 1,500 Thanksgiving meals. However, this year, there has been an 8 percent increase in homeless people living in San Diego.
