A couple of San Diego's major employers are being recognized by a spot on Fortune Magazine's list of the 100 best companies to work for.
SAN DIEGO Qualcomm and Scripps Health both made the list of best companies to work for.
Qualcomm has a local workforce of more than 13,000 and ranked 23rd on the list. The company was recognized for "a culture that fosters innovation and diversity." The wireless technology company also boasts extensive recreational facilities on its Sorrento Valley campus.

Scripps Health ranked 56th. Scripps rewarded its 12,000 workers by paying out more than $26 million a year in bonuses for changes that improve patient satisfaction.
Several other companies with ties to San Diego also made the list. Genentech, Intuit, and Nordstrom were recognized. Each have notable local work forces.
California-based Google landed the top spot on the list.
