Some San Diego County Facilities Remain Closed Day After Thanksgiving

SAN DIEGO — Many government offices and services will remain closed Friday after the Thanksgiving holiday.

While most city of San Diego operations will open as usual, county of San Diego facilities such as administrative offices, libraries, recreation centers, animal shelters and courts will remain closed.

Parks will be open except for those that were closed after recent rainfall, according to the county.

County libraries and animal shelters will re-open Saturday. Other county facilities will be back in service Monday.

The Metropolitan Transit System and North County Transit District will operate their buses, trains and trolleys on normal weekday schedules Friday, partly to accommodate Black Friday shoppers.

The NCTD agreement for select Amtrak trains to stop at all the Coaster stations is suspended through Sunday, according to the transit agencies.
