If you're looking for a job online, San Diego is the place to be. A new study shows that the city had nearly three-and-a-half jobs advertised for every 100 members of the local workforce than any other city last month. The figure is base on ads posted on 1,200 major Internet job sites.

Kenneth Goldstein is an economist with The Conference Board, which conducted the study. Goldstein says San Diego and San Francisco are two labor markets in the country for online job advertising.

Goldstein: What we're picking up now is that at least for the last six to twelve months that there's been a kind of resurgence, a kind of growth in the San Diego metro area as a whole and that's showing up certainly in terms of the increase in ad volume online.

San Francisco ranked second, followed by Boston and Seattle. Nationally, Goldstein says online job ads slipped six percent from March to April of this year.
