Scouts seek soccer talent at the San Diego Surf Cup

San Diego is home to one of the nation's most prominent soccer tournaments, the San Diego Surf Cup XXVI. Recruiters come from across the country to find the best talent.

Each summer, San Diego is home to one of the nation's largest, most prominent soccer tournaments, highlighting the best young talent around. The final weekend of the San Diego Surf Cup XXVI takes place this weekend. Host Tom Fudge talks to the director of publicity about this unique tournament and why it is so important for recruits, colleges, and San Diego alike. The second weekend of the San Diego Surf Cup XXVI takes place Saturday, August 5 through Monday, August 7, 2006 at the San Diego Polo Club in Del Mar. Games begin at 8:00 am each day and end at dusk.
