It is generally acknowledged that with John Roberts and Samuel Alito taking the seats of former justices William Rehnquist and Sandra Day O’connor, the new Supreme Court is more conservative. The court began its second term this month with a full docket including major issues which could change the nation’s policies on such sensitive areas as abortion and affirmative action.
