You may have noticed some campaign ads don’t let facts get in the way of a convincing message. Candidates, political strategists, special interest groups and business interests are all trying to win your vote with emotional appeals. Even in technology-rich California, good old-fashioned snail mail is a favorite means of advertising. But can you trust what those glossy mailers say? Rebecca Tolin sat down with a political science professor from UCSD to sort through the maze of campaign propaganda.
