Meal Kitchen Adapts as AIDS Crisis Shifts

Tom Fudge : Mama’s Kitchen has been providing meals on wheels for AIDS victims for 16 years. Today, they are still very much in business. But the changing face of the AIDS crisis has changed the job that Mama’s Kitchen does.

Mama’s kitchen sponsors the 15th annual Tree of Life ceremony commemorating World AIDS Day Friday, December 1 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hillcrest Retail Center, 3965 Fifth Avenue. It will feature addresses by community leaders and a candlelight vigil along with a display of an AIDS quilt honoring friends of Mama’s Kitchen who have died from AIDS.
