California farmers are looking to their insurance companies to help them recover from the freezing weather that ruined so much of California's citrus crop. Marianne Russ has more.
State Insurance Comissioner Steve Poizner has declared an emergency to speed up the claim process. He says the move allows out-of-state adjustors to work in California to help insurance companies deal with the overwhelming demand:

Steve Poizner: We have determined that they expect at least 3,000 claims to be made in the near future, with claims in the hundreds of millions of dollars. We expect the total damage could exceed one billion.

Poizner estimates about 90 percent of California's crops are insured. He says the first group of out-of-state adjustors is set to arrive in California on Friday.
