This week the White House released memos that contradict earlier testimony by U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales on what was behind the firing of federal prosecutors in eight cities – including San Diego.

Lenders who gave mortgages to people with bad credit are in a world of trouble.

Also, there are signs that the local real estate decline may be tapering off.

And we'll look closely at the proposition that San Diego is on the way to becoming a "superstar" city.  And that's not a compliment.
