This week the White House released memos that contradict earlier testimony by U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales on what was behind the firing of federal prosecutors in eight cities – including San Diego.

Lenders who gave mortgages to people with bad credit are in a world of trouble.

Also, there are signs that the local real estate decline may be tapering off.
