The Dalai Lama has called Surya Das the American Lama.

Lama Surya Das will be signing copies of his book, Buddha Is As Buddha Does:The Ten Original Practices for Enlightened Living , this evening (Thursday, May 31st) at 7:30 p.m. at Warwick's Bookstore in La Jolla.

Surya Das will also hold a one-day retreat this Saturday, June 2nd, titled: How to Be a Bodhisattva, at the Seaside Church of Religious Science in Encinitas.
