Alison St John (Guest Host): We are all subliminally aware in our daily lives that many of our San Diego neighbors are away, fighting a devastating war. It isn't easy to let the reality of that sink home. But a new book brings us into the world of a marine wife faced with that seemingly interminable wait for her husband to come back safe. We get the heartbreaking little details that help us actually feel what it is like to have your husband deployed in Iraq.
Michelle Keener will appear to discuss her experience and sign books today (June 7th) from noon to 2:00 p.m. at MCRD San Diego.
Saturday, she'll be at the Marine Corps Association Bookstore at Camp Pendleton from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
