Tom Fudge: Today, San Diego is a community of cars, resorts and suburban development. And all that imported water has created a kind-of man-made lushness in this coastal desert. But what was San Diego like 150 years ago? What was life like for some of the first residents of our community?
There's a new exhibition at the Museum of San Diego History that seeks to tell the story of the days before modern San Diego was established. The exhibition is the second phase of a multi-phase plan to show some of the gems of the museum's collection.
The exhibition, "Building an Early Identity: One Place, Many Cultures" is now open at the Museum of San Diego History . The museum is open daily from 10am-5pm.
