Firefighters hope to have the three largest wildfires in San Diego county contained by tomorrow. CALFIRE's Roxanne Provoznik says there are more than seven thousand firefighters in the county trying to encircle the Witch, Harris and Poomacha fires. She says the weather has done a lot to help crews cut fire lines around the blazes.
Provoznik: Cooler weather creates a better working environment for our firefighters with the cooler temperatures they don't have to take as frequent breaks. They're not becoming dehydrated and its just easier faster, quicker work, on getting the containment.
Provoznik says crews are keeping a wary eye on the weekend. Warmer temperatures and some windy conditions have crews prepared to battle any flares that might happen.
