San Diego's senior engineering geologist says last weekend's rainstorm caused further movement in a La Jolla hillside that collapsed in October.
Rob Hawk told San Diego's City Council Tuesday that the displaced earth slipped another two-tenths of an inch between Friday and Monday.
The council unanimously approved $20 million in emergency funding for repairs. The
City workers have already reinforced the hillside with steel pins. The Oct. 3 landslide destroyed three homes and severely damaged four others.
