From landslides to too-tall buildings to beach booze bans, San Diego's political year gave us political in-fighting, plenty of controversy, and a few changes of heart from our elected officials.

City Hall: Top Stories of 2007

Tom Fudge: 2007 was not quite as spectacular a year for news at San Diego City Hall as others we've seen recently. No mayor resigned, and no members of the city council were convicted on corruption charges. Yet the city continued to struggle with short money and high demand for services, and a deep rift developed between two high-ranking city officials: City Attorney Mike Aguirre and Mayor Jerry Sanders .
