San Diegans flocked to the polls today in East County with a laundry list of the country's problems on their minds and hope in their hearts. KPBS reporter Amita Sharma has more.
Pat Winter of El Cajon says she hasn't felt this gloomy about the nation's direction since the Vietnam War.
Winter: We've got a lot of issues that are very, very important. The economy obviously, the war and getting the trust back into the people's minds.
She says she cast her vote with the candidate she believes will “call an ace and ace and a spade a spade.”
Jack Davis, also of El Cajon, says he's most concerned with enforcement of immigration laws.
Davis: We just need to do something about these illegals crossing the border.
Davis added with all the intelligence in Washington, he can't believe the politicians haven't come up with a solution to the immigration problem yet.
