Pulitzer Winning Author Tracy Kidder On Mountains Beyond Mountains
Tom Fudge: Tracy Kidder is one of those journalists who have become part of a very elite class. He's become known for his books, not his articles. In fact, maybe you've read some of them. He's written House , Hometown , and Mountains Beyond Mountains . In fact, Mountains Beyond Mountains is the book chosen by SDSU's Common Experience for its summer reading program. Kidder chooses his subjects carefully, and he spends many months gathering information to flesh out a real slice of life.
Tracy Kidder will speak this evening at Smith Recital Hall on the campus of San Diego State University at 7p.m.
