Maueen Cavanaugh (Guest Host): Lawmakers in Sacramento are struggling with a huge budget shortfall, and the fallout from the various ideas they're coming up with to deal with it. San Francisco's Mayor is about to take the state to court over one cost-cutting measure.
As if the budget weren't enough to occupy the state assembly, they've also got a new crop of anti-illegal immigration bills and a proposal for an airplane passenger's bill of rights.
And on top of all this, the state may be finding a silver lining to high gas prices.
