Midnight Movies: Brazil
Katherine Helmond gets a face lift in Terry Gilliam's Brazil, screening Friday and Saturday at midnight. (Universal)
And now for something completely different... Brazil . From the fertile imagination of Monty Python's Terry Gilliam comes one of the most brilliantly original films. Gilliam's Brazil defies simple categorization or description (words can't do justice to this stunning visual display). The uncut European release of Brazil will be the second film in the latest Midnight Movies Series at Landmark's La Jolla Village Theaters . Don't miss this opportunity to see it on the big screen and appreciate all the attention to detail Gilliam invested in the film. The film screens this Friday and Saturday (April 18 and 19) at midnight (Duh!). Here's what I had to say about the film when it came out in 1986.
