Tom Fudge : Scott McClellan is a name you've been hearing in the news alot, lately. He is a former press secretary to President George. W. Bush who has written a book that's highly critical of the administration... particularly its effort to justify America's invastion of Iraq. The book's title says a lot. It's called "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and and Washington's Culture of Deception." McClellan served as Bush's press secretary from 2003 to 2006. McClellan has gotten a lot of reaction from the publication of his book. Some people have called him a turncoat. Some have called him a man who's done the right thing. Others have wondered why it took him so long to come out with his story.
On Friday, McClellan will be called to testify in Washington before the House Judiciary Committee. His testimony will focus on an excerpt from his book in which he describes the effort to cover up a White House leak. This is the famous leak that revealed that Valerie Plame, the wife of Iraq War critic Joseph Wilson, was a CIA agent. Dick Cheney's chief of staff, Scooter Libby, recently stood trial in connection with that incedent.
