How much larger will California's population be in 2020? How will the state's racial demographics change in the next 12 year? And, what kind of growth can we expect to see in the state's elderly pop

Tom Fudge: What will California be in the year 2020? The answer: much like it is now, only more so. The country's largest state, by population, will get even bigger. Ethnic Hispanics will actually outnumber white people. And, elderly people will make up a much bigger proportion of the population. These trends are likely to have a dramatic effect on our politics and the way we spend money.
