Tom Fudge: This November, San Diego voters will go to the polls to decide who will be city attorney. Our listeners just heard from Republican challenger Jan Goldsmith. We now hear from the incumbent, Democrat Mike Aguirre.
Mike Aguirre was elected city attorney four years ago, succeeding Casey Gwinn. Aguirre has maintained an adversarial relationship with the City Council and the mayor. Many supporters consider it his greatest asset. Critics say it's his greatest liability.
