Local Group Builds Community Through Renovating Homes

Maureen Cavanaugh : Even in the best of times, an organization like Rebuilding Together San Diego gets a lot of requests for help. Those requests come from low-income homeowners who just don't have the money to fix leaking pipes or to rebuild a collapsing garage.

But now, during our economic recession, the group finds itself with many more requests, even from non-profit organizations like the Girl Scouts.  And projects now include repairs the city of San Diego can't afford to do.
