Marine Corps pilots will be practicing bombing at Camp Pendleton this week, base officials announced Monday.
The training will take place in the Zulu impact area, near the center of North County base, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, according to Camp Pendleton's public affairs office.
Explosions may be heard up to 50 miles away, depending on atmospheric conditions.
