The UK version of ANTIQUES ROADSHOW is back on the trail of the nation’s hidden treasures, visiting more of Britain’s most sumptuous and unusual locations. Fiona Bruce hosts.
Highlights of Season 37 include a very special visit from Her Majesty the Queen to meet members of the team at Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland.
Also featured are the dramatic and romantic ruins of Kirby Hall, among which the team marvel at a 500-year-old religious painting — first seen in 2010 — now beautifully restored. They examine an extraordinary carved chair inspired by the MPs’ expenses scandal.
They visit Chenies Manor where a highly valuable piece of "Star Wars" memorabilia, and a 19th century plant stand — that provides one of the biggest surprises of the series — are uncovered.
On this episode, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW returns to Waltham Forest Town Hall in east London, England.
This bright and busy day reveals an art deco pendant with a hint of ancient Egypt; a haul of charming tiles discovered behind a chimney; and a purse that saved the life of a German soldier in World War I.
