Journey to Hawai'i's Kilauea volcano, which sent rivers of lava through communities and into the sea when it erupted in 2018. Thousands of Hawaiian residents were uprooted when Kīlauea volcano erupted. This frightening spike in Kīlauea’s activity transformed parts of the island paradise into a roaring inferno, spewing rock and causing massive destruction. In "Kilauea: Hawaiʻi On Fire," NOVA follows scientists and local residents as they head underground to investigate the geological cause of the eruption.
