From kindergarten to college, students are returning to campuses across San Diego while still dealing with the risk of COVID-19. Ahead of San Diego Unified beginning its school year next week, we talk with KPBS education reporter M.G. Perez about the first few days for other K-12 districts in the region. Return To Normalcy For High School Sports
This time last year, Friday night lights were dimmed at high school stadiums across San Diego County. With schools resuming a full sports schedule, football and other fall prep sports are back. Brandon Stone, host of the KUSI Prep Pigskin Report, tells us how teams are navigating ongoing pandemic precautions and explains how student-athletes dealt with setbacks in their pursuit of playing in college.
