Will Smith in Seven Pounds (Columbia Pictures)

Seven Pounds (opening December 19 throughout San Diego) is a story about a man who is in a state of depression over the loss of his lover, and the guilt he carries over what happened to seven other people in the car accident he caused. Because of his guilt, he wants to help seven people who are either in need of help, are ill or have a physical disability. Will Smith's character goes through many challenges while helping those seven people. The story continues and leads to the secret Will Smith's character holds inside.
I really enjoyed watching Seven Pounds . Although at first I was quite confused by what was going on and I got lost along the way. It also made me start to think, "Why is it called Seven Pounds ?" As it got toward the end, I understood the "secret" and the reason why this movie was given its title -- I had that "OH! I get it!" reaction.
Seven Pounds (PG-13 for thematic material, some disturbing content and a scene of sensuality) was very enjoyable to watch and it had a very good storyline, despite the fact you may get confused about what's going on. Will Smith and director Gabriele Muccino have done a very good job telling this story.
