Do you identify with the twentysomethings of Adventureland? (Miramax)

Adventureland (currently at AMC Mission Valley, Fashion Valley and Plaza Bonitia as well as Edwards Mira Mesa and Reading Grossmont) is a comedy set in the summer of 1987 and centered around a recent college grad forced to take a minimum wage job at a local amusement park only to find it's the perfect course to get him prepared for the real world.
This is one of the funniest films I have seen this year. It was an overall good movie but with both good parts and bad parts. One thingI really liked about this film is how it kind of related to us teens today. The movie mainly focuses on James Brennan -- a romantic, nerdy guy who graduates college as a virgin. A lot of the things he does in this film are what a lot of teens do today such as going to parties, smoking pot, wanting to lose their virginity as soon as possible, girl drama, etc. It's all in this film. Yet I found it hard to relate to this movie mainly because of the different time frame and the unknown age of the characters in the film. Many of the characters would seem to be 17 or 18 years old but then you see them going to bars and drinking. Basically doing things an older person would do. I believe it would been a lot easier to understand the film if the ages were thrown in there. Other then that I liked the movie. It had me laughing again and again. Even though the romance parts of it almost killed it. I think it's a film viewers should watch to get a good laugh.
