Huw Edwards and team present full coverage of one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the century, the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Coverage begins three hours ahead of the wedding service. During this early period, we will be watching the excitement and anticipation build up around Central London as well as other key locations such as St. Andrews and Kate's home village of Bucklebury.
Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund
Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton have created a charitable gift fund to help celebrate their wedding. The fund will focus on assisting charities which support the five causes chosen by the couple. These causes are close to their hearts and reflect the experiences, passions and values of their lives so far. Having been touched by the goodwill shown to them since their engagement, they have asked that anyone wishing to send them a wedding gift consider doing so in the form of a donation to the fund.
Our team of presenters will be stationed around Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and The Mall. They will watch all the preparations as they unfold, report on all the movements and speak to members of the crowd who have traveled from all over to witness this little piece of history.
We'll hear from guest experts in our studios, for example, Royal historians and correspondents, fashion experts and possibly some guests who are attending the wedding service.
In this transmission we will see the journey of all the members of the Royal Family and the bride as they make their way to the Abbey. We will see the arrivals of all the key guests and we will have full coverage of the wedding service.
Following the service, we will see the full procession back to Buckingham Palace and then reflect on how the wedding has made an impact all over the United Kingdom and possibly around the world. This program will end just after we have seen the historic balcony appearance by William and Kate and close members of the Royal Family.
