GROWING A GREENER WORLD combines the latest trends in eco-friendly outdoor living with traditional gardening know-how, while highlighting the personalities from the worlds of gardening, sustainability, urban farming and environmental stewardship. GROWING A GREENER WORLD brings together the expertise and engaging styles of host Joe Lamp'l (the American Horticulture Society's "Communicator of the Year") and Garden Girl Patti Moreno. Each episode contains one compelling feature story and one how-to demonstration, followed by cooking and on-location segments featuring celebrity chef Nathan Lyon (A LYON IN THE KITCHEN), who uses fresh-from-the-garden fruit, vegetables and herbs to create simple and delicious dishes.
The multi-billion dollar flower industry is thriving, albeit in part by toxic pesticides, herbicides and other non-environmentally friendly chemicals. But there’s a new niche in towns scattered across America; Grower’s raising flowers using all-organic methods. See how they do it and learn why we need more growers just like them. "Organic Flower Power; All The Beauty-None Of The Chemicals" is packed with information that is as important as this episode is beautiful to watch.
