The film sets out on a quest to find out what the written word, physical books, and the privilege of instant access to information at any time mean to us both as individuals and as a society. Featuring opinions from thought leaders, parents, students, educators and scientists, as well as visits to libraries, book clubs, classrooms and corporate offices, this interesting and well-balanced documentary clarifies how the digital revolution is changing everything about the printed word – and changing us.

A film by Vivienne Roumani. Produced by Journeyman Pictures Ltd. Distributed by American Public Television.
