At the time of his unexpected death on Aug. 30, 2015, a program featuring best-selling author, beloved spiritual teacher, and internationally renowned lecturer Dr. Wayne Dyer’s “greatest hits” was in the works, with Dr. Dyer fully onboard. Envisioned as a celebration, the program would include the most beloved stories and wisdom teachings that he had presented over his past eight public broadcasting specials (the footage of his first two shows from 1998 remain lost). With his passing, that project has now become a retrospective, memorial, and inspirational tribute to the commitment and ardent support he demonstrated for PBS.
Dr. Dyer demonstrated his extraordinary support for public broadcasting throughout these programs: “There’s A Spiritual Solution to Every Problem”; “10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace”; “The Power of Intention”; “Inspiration – Your Ultimate Calling”; “Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life”; “Excuses, Begone!”; “Wishes Fulfilled”; and “I Can See Clearly Now.”
“The Forever Wisdom Of Dr. Wayne Dyer” is divided into chapters:
• The Forever Wisdom of Manifesting
• The Forever Wisdom of Connecting to Your Source
• The Forever Wisdom of Your Soul’s Purpose
• The Forever Wisdom of Synchronicity
• The Forever Wisdom of Love
• The Forever Wisdom of Your Own Power
Each chapter is made up of sequences from Wayne’s shows that illuminate the chapter’s concept, and each sequence is introduced with a graphic quote and a clip, identified with the show’s title and year. Included are memorable stories, both funny and soulful, some of Wayne’s favorite quotes (upon which he expands), and the wisdom teachings from authors and poets whose philosophies he admired and followed in his own life, from Ralph Waldo Emerson to the Persian poet Rumi. This is not only a retrospective of an iconic thinker, but a wonderful introduction for those who are not familiar with his work: Dyer 101 for some, an advanced seminar for others.
